Staging has become a necessity for many homeowners and businesses. While managing a high-end specialty department store in California, part of my responsibilities included merchandising our unique blend of clothing, furniture, shoes, art, cosmetics and gifts. We used our furniture stock for staging the other merchandise, such as church pews for patrons trying on shoes. Our customers included many celebrities because they had fun browsing around our Lake Tahoe cabin store staged with surprises and delight. One day the duo of Brooks and Dunn came in and bought our store’s entire inventory of furniture and many other items. By the time they loaded up their truck – including those church pews – to head back to Nashville, most of the store’s items were on the floor!
